In 1925, the Shalimar bottle designed by Raymond Guerlain won first prize at the Paris Decorative Arts Exhibition. Its curves were inspired by the basins of the famous Shalimar gardens. The fan stopper with its sapphire transparency recalls the garden's eternally gushing water.

Building on the deep similarity between music and fragrance, Guerlain explores new ways to bring its creations to life through sound. Deep dive into a one-of-a-kind multisensory experience born from a dialogue between Delphine Jelk, Guerlain’s Director of Fragrance Creation, and the experts at IRCAM Amplify. Together, they began by translating the Guerlinade- the Maison’s signature fragrance trail - into a progression of musical chords. Jasmine, bergamot, rose, vanilla, tonka bean, and iris spring to life in an olfactory and sonic symphony—translating Shalimar into music.
